Michael Carbone is a veteran Gaffer and proud member of IATSE Local 52, with over two decades of experience lighting feature films, episodic television, and high-end commercials. Known throughout the New York film and television production community for his meticulous craftsmanship and creative vision, Michael has built a reputation for delivering visually compelling, technically flawless lighting across every genre and scale of production.
A forward-thinking electrician with a passion for the future of set lighting, Michael authored The Set Lighting Lexicon™ Second Edition, a widely respected visual reference guide designed to demystify the evolving language of the craft. His book has gained traction as an educational tool for union locals, aspiring electricians, and even seasoned professionals looking to stay current in a rapidly changing industry.
Michael is also a committed educator.
